Across the country today, people showed up for reproductive rights following proposed and passed bans on abortion in several states.

Here in DC, folks rallied outside the Supreme Court, understanding that the goal of many of these banning bigots is to take their bans to the Supreme Court in the hopes of overturning Roe v. Wade, thereby allowing for a blanket ban on women’s rights across the country.

The energy in the crowd was great and I was personally pleased to see so many men (particularly young men) showing up for reproductive rights, as well as signs that highlighted the intersectionality of this issue with regards to gender, race and class.
