Today’s featured speaker: War Criminal

This morning, Dick Cheney spoke at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Washington DC. Not only is Cheney a war criminal, war profiteer, and torturer, he has boldly and proudly stated that he would do it all again. Instead of speaking in his own defense at the International Criminal Court, Cheney was invited to speak at AEI regarding the Iran deal and national security – you know, because he orchestrated a war that led to the deaths of more than 1 million , displaced at least five times that many and has made the region and in turn, the world, far less stable. Oh, and created ISIS. So yeah, this guy – national security ace.

Not one to let this shit go down without comment, Code Pink staged a brilliant protest outside of AEI, complete with their own Dick Cheney, banners, signs, chants and some civil disobedience. They were also sure to point out (through chants and a giant fucking banner) that they were non-partisan in their anti-war efforts. Chuck Schumer, the war hawk pushing against peace in the middle east also got top billing as protesters laid out plans to occupy his office later in the day.
